Dara McLoughlin is a 2D Motion Designer based in Dublin, Ireland.

With over 13 years of experience in the animation industry, I have built a versatile career as an animator, motion designer, and visual designer across a wide range of industries, with diverse work spanning from children's cartoons and TV ads to apps, games, and marketing campaigns. Since 2018, I’ve specialised as a 2D Motion Designer, working with in-house teams to produce high-quality explainer videos, personal stories, demo videos, sales content, marketing content and animated videos for marketing and product needs.

I have led in-house design team through rebranding efforts, overseeing the redesign of illustrations, animations, and visual assets. Collaborating closely with third-party agencies, freelancers, and junior designers, providing feedback, delivering production packs, and managing the creative processes from concept to completion. My technical expertise includes mastery of Adobe Creative Suite, focusing on the use of - After Effects, Animate, Premiere Pro, Audition, Photoshop, and Illustrator.

Additionally, I’ve contributed to children's animation projects both as an animator and production assistant. I’ve worked alongside directors to streamline animation pipelines and ensure smooth communication between artists, modellers, animators, and clients, ultimately delivering polished final designs and tv episodes.
